Governance & Policy in Sport

Throughout this course, I learned various sport organizations' rules, regulations, and policies as well as governing structures from high school organized sports to international sports. In-depth student-led lectures allowed me to fully understand each policy while exercising and perfecting public speaking and research. Challenging one to think outside the box, refer to ethical practices, and rely on my moral compass, Dr. Kaunert assigned us to break down articles on prominent ethical issues within sport. From given resources and lectures, we were then able to develop policies based on these presented issues. The work below includes annotated bibliographies on pressing issues as well as powerpoints on various policies within different sport organizations.

Article Reviews

Analyzing scholarly journals on pressing matters within sport allowed students to exercise their research skills and propose solutions to issues from a sport manager's point of view.
